With the end of the "Memories in Motion" season, Pokemon Go is closing things out with a lineup of events and Pokémon debuts. May is shaping up to be an exciting month for trainers, with the introduction of Flittle and the debut of Mega Falinks. Two Community Days are also on the calendar this month, while several Ultra Beasts and Mega Pokémon return to Raids. Below is a rundown of everything happening in the mobile game this May.
May Raid Bosses
Pokemon Go’s Raid rotations are getting refreshed again in May. Several Ultra Beasts are making a comeback in five-star Raids. The guardian duo Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini will follow later in the month. Mega Raids will feature Mega Camerupt, Mega Glalie, Mega Altaria, and Mega Medicham. In addition, Shadow Cresselia will appear as a Shadow Raid boss throughout the month.
Five-star Raids
- Nihilego: May 6-12
- Buzzwole: May 13-19
- Tapu Bulu: May 20-26
- Tapu Fini: May 27 - June 2
- Pheromosa (Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa only): May 13-19
- Xurkitree (Asia-Pacific only): May 13-19
Mega Raids
- Mega Camerupt: May 6-12
- Mega Glalie: May 13-19
- Mega Altaria: May 20-26
- Mega Medicham: May 27 - June 2
Community Days
Two Community Days are scheduled for May. The first is Lechonk Community Day, taking place on May 9. During this event, Lechonk will appear more frequently in the wild from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Trainers will also have an increased chance to catch a shiny Lechonk. Any Lechonk evolved before 9:00 p.m. will learn the Ground-type attack Mud-Slap.

- Incense and Lure Modules last longer
The second Community Day is Deino Community Day Classic on May 16. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Deino will also appear more often in the wild with boosted shiny odds. If trainers evolve Deino before 9:00 p.m., it can learn Brutal Swing.

Spring Marathon
The Spring Marathon event runs from May 12-18. During this period, special Pokémon will hatch from 5 km Eggs, including Pichu, Togepi, and Happiny wearing flower crowns, as well as the debut of Flittle. Trainers can also look forward to various rewards and research tasks.

- Pichu with a flower crown
- Togepi with a flower crown
- Happiny with a flower crown
- Flittle will be available through Eggs or the Go Pass
- Research rewards: Extra XP and encounters with special Pokémon such as Eevee with cherry blossoms.
Mega Raid Day
On May 23, Mega Raid Day will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, featuring the debut of Mega Falinks in Mega Raids. Trainers who complete these Raids will earn Mega Energy and have a chance to catch Falinks.

- Up to six free Raid Passes available by spinning the Photo Disc at Gyms
