Pokemon TCG Pocket scraps Dex Missions and Emblem Tickets

Pokemon TCG Pocket has announced that it will remove several systems tied to collecting cards and emblems. These changes are aimed at streamlining the mobile card game. Both Dex Missions and Emblem Tickets will soon be phased out, with removal expected before the end of April 2026. In their place, a new system will be introduced that lets players collect emblems more easily.

Changes to the emblem system

With the new adjustments, players will no longer need to complete Dex Missions to earn emblems. Instead, emblem collection will be simplified: players will automatically gain access to all emblems tied to an expansion once they have collected a certain number of cards from that set. That number ranges from 50 to 150 cards.

Regular updates and existing systems

Despite the upcoming changes, DeNA's development team has not made any major changes to Pokemon TCG Pocket's card collection system in recent months. The game does, however, continue to receive regular updates, with a rotating lineup of activities such as Step-Up battles and Wonder Pick Events. For fans, it is worth noting that the Mega Shine expansion was released at the end of March 2026.

Players have raised a few questions about the development team's recent announcements. The changes that have been announced do not affect the acquisition of Secret Emblems, special badges that are usually obtained through themed collections. This suggests that the new changes will not impact these specific emblems. In addition, the in-game news includes a statement that "new animations" will appear when registering cards in the Card Dex, though details remain unclear.
