Nieuwe PS Plus Extra en Premium games voor mei 2026 beschikbaar

PlayStation Plus subscribers will have access to a new batch of games from 19 May 2026, provided they’re signed up to the Extra or Premium versions of the service. Sony has spent years streamlining its gaming subscription services, combining PlayStation Plus with PlayStation Now to create a new three-tier version of PS Plus. The base version of PlayStation Plus is called PS Plus Essential.

PS Plus tiers

PS Plus consists of three different tiers:

• Essential: This tier lets PlayStation 4 and 5 players access online multiplayer games. They also receive a selection of free games every month. The free games change each month, so it’s always a surprise which titles will be available.
• Extra: This tier offers an expanded selection of PS4 and PS5 games. These titles are available on a rotating basis, similar to a Netflix subscription model.
• Premium: This tier gives access to classic games from PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3-compatible offerings.

New additions for May 2026

With the latest update to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus, players will get the following games:

• Extra tier:

  • Bramble: The Mountain King
  • Broken Sword - Shadows of the Templar: Reforged
  • Enotria: The Last Song
  • Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Star Wars Outlaws
  • The Thaumaturge

• Premium tier:

  • Time Crisis

One of the standout titles is Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft’s large-scale open-world game that initially received mixed reviews but has since improved. Players who were unsure about the title can now try it through their subscription. The timing is also perfect with The Mandalorian and Grogu hitting cinemas.

Another highlight is Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar’s open-world western has won countless awards and holds a 97 score on review aggregate site Metacritic. Its single-player story is an epic adventure, while the multiplayer also offers a unique experience for friends looking to explore the beautiful world together.

Future updates

Subscribers can look ahead to the next major service update. The free PS Plus games for June 2026 will be released on Tuesday, 2 June, with the reveal of the titles on Wednesday, 27 May.
