Robert Kirkman confirms plans for Invincible and the future beyond season 5

Co-creator Robert Kirkman has confirmed that he is sticking to his plan to wrap up the series in seven, eight, or nine seasons. That, however, depends on a possible renewal from Amazon after season 5.

Kirkman has previously said he believes it will take around seven to nine seasons to tell the full story of the Invincible comics. "Roughly seven, eight, nine seasons I think will be needed to complete the full arc of Invincible," he said. "We hope we get there, and we’re getting a lot of support from Amazon Prime, which makes us excited about how the series is evolving."

As season 5 approaches, more and more storylines are coming into focus. Kirkman has confirmed that the stories and plot threads introduced in Invincible will be resolved later on.
