Temtem: Pioneers - new co-op survival game revealed

As part of the ongoing evolution of the Temtem franchise, Spanish developer Crema has announced a new spin-off called Temtem: Pioneers. This co-op survival game blends Pokémon-like creature collection with an extensive crafting system and is planned for a limited list of platforms.

What is Temtem: Pioneers?

Temtem: Pioneers is an exciting new adventure that takes players to Downbelow, a vast and untamed region where they can catch and collect wild Temtem. Alongside creature collection, the game also offers base building, multiplayer cooperation, and fast-paced action combat.

The game can be played solo or in co-op multiplayer with up to six players, which is two more than Palworld supports. The developers stressed that Pioneers is being presented as a spin-off, separate from the original Temtem from 2022, and that a true sequel to the original game could still happen further down the line.

Kickstarter campaign

The Kickstarter campaign for Temtem: Pioneers began on April 9, 2026, and reached its $100,000 goal within 24 hours. Since then, the project has raised more than $214,000 from 2,332 backers, with 27 days still left in the campaign. This suggests there is strong interest in the project and that the community is actively engaged with its development.

The minimum pledge to get involved in the crowdfunding is €25 (~$30), which gives backers a digital key for Steam or the Epic Games Store. Backers will be credited in the game and receive a matching role on the game’s Discord server, giving them access to an exclusive group.

Targets and platforms

At the moment, the game has only been announced for PC, and while there is interest in other platforms such as Linux or macOS, the developers say parallel development would be too challenging and expensive. With Temtem: Pioneers, Crema is aiming for a 2028 launch. In the meantime, follow-ups for other platforms may still be possible at a later stage.
