Microsoft has officially unveiled the Xbox Game Pass lineup for May 2026. This new collection includes more than a dozen titles spanning a wide range of genres and playstyles. Subscribers can expect a mix of high-speed racing, brutal action, and quieter narrative experiences. The platform is clearly aiming to keep its momentum going by delivering a strong slate of content for Xbox Game Pass members to jump into right away.

Changes to the subscription structure

Under the leadership of Xbox's new head, Asha Sharma, Xbox Game Pass has seen a significant price drop. The Ultimate tier now costs $22.99 per month. The move is intended to make the subscription plans more appealing as the brand moves away from the Phil Spencer era. Microsoft has also changed its policy regarding Call of Duty games. These major shooters will now wait a full year before arriving on the service, rather than launching on day one.

Games being added this month

The first wave of new titles is scheduled for May 2026, with a diverse selection of games. The most anticipated release is Forza Horizon 6, which launches on 19 May as a day-one arrival. The latest entry moves the festival to Japan and features a massive open world with more than 550 vehicles to master. Also notable is the addition of DOOM: The Dark Ages on 14 May, a prequel that explores the Slayer's rage in a medieval setting.

Nostalgic and artistic experiences

Beyond the big blockbusters, the service is also leaning into artistic and cozy experiences. On 7 May, Mixtape joins the lineup, following a group of friends through their teenage years with a soundtrack and atmosphere inspired by coming-of-age cinema. After that, on 11 May, players can settle into Outbound, a relaxed experience set in a customizable camper van that serves as a mobile home.
