Xbox Game Pass Expands Streaming Capacity for Subscribers
In April 2026, Xbox Game Pass announced a significant expansion of its streaming capabilities. Subscribers to the service can now stream 50 additional titles they own in their library via Xbox Cloud Gaming. This catalog update on April 5, 2026, is the second expansion of the streamable library in just 10 days, following an earlier update on March 25, 2026.
The Evolution of Xbox Cloud Gaming
Xbox Game Pass introduced the ability for users to stream their own game catalogs via Xbox Cloud Gaming in November 2024, with an initial launch supporting only 50 titles. This first version included some highly acclaimed releases such as Assassin's Creed Mirage, Hogwarts Legacy, Cyberpunk 2077, Metro Exodus, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
In the meantime, the library of streamable games has expanded more than a dozen times and now includes thousands of titles. This represents significant growth in a relatively short span of just 17 months.
New Titles and Genres
The latest catalog expansion offers a wide range of games, from classic Microsoft titles like Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark to more recent releases such as Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and MLB The Show 26. In addition to these titles, various indie and mid-budget games have been added, including Bad End Theatre and Rhythm Doctor.
The diversity of the new additions is remarkable, featuring classic fighting games like Killer Instinct Classic and Kameo: Elements of Power, providing variety for the audience. This not only reflects Xbox's rich history but also gives gamers the chance to revisit beloved classics.
Current Status of the Streamable Library
With the expansion on April 5, 2026, the total number of streamable titles in Xbox Cloud Gaming now stands at 2,816. This number includes dozens of first-party Xbox games that subscribers can stream, regardless of whether they own them in their library. The additions have occurred at an average rate of about 162 titles per month, allowing the library to continue growing.
Nevertheless, the current library represents only 17.5% of the total offerings on the Xbox Store. This indicates that there is still much room for expansion, with predictions that Microsoft will need approximately 6 years and 10 months to support the remaining titles in the catalog, excluding new releases that will appear during this period.
Timeline

It seems likely that another update for the streaming library of Xbox Cloud Gaming will arrive before the end of April 2026. In the meantime, several titles have already been confirmed to be added to Xbox Game Pass this month, starting with Final Fantasy 4 on April 7.
The ongoing growth and development of Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming demonstrate how important the platform is for gamers. The diversity of available titles and genres ensures that there is something for everyone, and the ability to stream personal games makes the service even more appealing to both new and existing subscribers.
