Zenless Zone Zero: new characters for season 3 revealed

Zenless Zone Zero, HoYoverse’s popular gacha action RPG, has confirmed the arrival of season 3, along with the reveal of no fewer than ten new characters. This announcement comes as season 2 nears its end, which will conclude with the release of Zenless Zone Zero version 2.8 on May 6, 2026.

New characters and update details

The upcoming version 2.8 update introduces two new S-Rank Agents: Promeia and Starlight - Billy. These characters will play a central role in the update’s main story chapter, which focuses on unraveling Remielle’s plans. This character appears to be closely tied to Sunbringer, a figure important to the game’s lore and identified as a Void Hunter.

The Zenless Zone Zero teaser also highlights a new explorable area, Roscaelifer, also known as the Celestial Nexus. In this region, humans and Bangboo live side by side, and it is ruled by Sunbringer. While little is known about Roscaelifer so far, it’s clear that it will be a crucial part of the upcoming season.
