The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature

Jul 10, 2025 1:20 AM

Pro
  • Visually stunning with beautiful builds and items.
  • Introduces fairies as an engaging new occult type.
  • Offers unique interactions with nature and a new Natural Living skill.

Con
  • Gameplay can feel lackluster and limited over time.
  • Certain mechanics may appeal only to fans of mystical themes.
  • High price tag may not justify the content for all players.

Review

The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature brings an enchanting twist to the beloved life simulation series but, unfortunately, it doesn't manage to fully capitalize on its strengths. The introduction of fairies as a new occult type is a delightful addition, attracting players who revel in the whimsical aspects of life simulation. The visuals are nothing short of captivating, featuring rich details that can truly immerse you in the fairy-tale world of Innisgreen. However, while the Natural Living skill and the ability to forage offer encouraging new gameplay avenues, they are often overshadowed by the monotonous gameplay experience that may become tiring in the long run. The reliance on mystical themes means that players not interested in such may find the offerings too restrictive, making this expansion a mixed bag. Overall, it has moments of brilliance but ultimately falls short of being a must-have expansion for every Simmer.

Background information

Reviews from various sources note the stunning visuals and engaging builds, but they also point out weaknesses in gameplay and the appeal of its mystical elements, with scores ranging from 60 to 80 out of 100.

Man, I'm stoked to see Jack Kesy's take on Hellboy With Mignola co-writing, you know we're in for some genuinely eerie, folklore-infused horror that stays true to the source material.

The new trailer for Hellboy: The Crooked Man looks like it's going to bring a gnarlier, horror-centric vibe to the franchise, thanks to Mike Mignola's direct involvement. Kesy stepping into Hellboy's shoes could offer a fresh spin, and I'm stoked to see what this reboot brings to the table later this year

The fresh take on Hellboy in The Crooked Man looks promising, especially with Mike Mignola co-writing the screenplay. Jack Kesy stepping into the role should be interesting, and I'm definitely looking forward to those deeper horror elements
