Starfield, a game centered around celestial voyages, seems unable to attract a significant segment of its players beyond the tutorial planet. Around a fourth of the players didn't even conclude the first mission, according to achievement stats from TrueAchievements.
The first achievement in Starfield, called "For All, Into the Starfield", is unlocked when you embark on your first space journey, just half an hour into the game's storyline. Despite being easily achievable, only 75% of the players have earned it, indicating that a surprising number left the game early on.
The data encompasses both players on the Xbox console and PC gamers using the Game Pass/Windows Store version. The statistics reveal a more engaged audience on the Steam platform, where 88% of players unlocked the achievement. This number makes sense because players who bought the game on Steam paid full price for the game, and would, therefore, logically be more committed.
Oddly, the achievement statistics for the Xbox version of Starfield do make sense; the game is offered on Game Pass, where members might casually try it out without a significant level of interest. If the game fails to grab their attention, they quickly move on to the next title.
Moreover, the numbers might be influenced by the fact that using mods with Starfield disables the unlocking of achievements. Some players may have overlooked unlocking achievements simply because they've been using mods.
