Alan Wake 2, the highly-anticipated horror survival game from Remedy, has been confirmed to receive two expansions in 2024.

The first expansion, titled Night Springs, will be released in late spring of 2024, although the developer notes this could change. Night Springs would allow players to take on the role of several familiar characters from the game in self-contained episodes of a fictional television show set in the world of Alan Wake.

Details about the second expansion, The Lakehouse, are currently sparse, but indications are that it involves a mysterious facility on the edge of the Cauldron Lake, set up by an independent government organization. The plot will reportedly involve secret research and unexpected incidents.

The game received a 9/10 rating in the IGN review which praised it as a superb sequel that made the cult-classic original seem like a rough first draft.

Apart from expansions, Remedy also confirmed two free features coming post-launch: New Game+ and Photo Mode. New Game+ should land about a month after release while Photo Mode's release date remains undisclosed.

Alan Wake 2 is set to launch on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S Alan Wake 2 on October 27.
