All Announcements from Day 1 of New York Comic Con 2023

The much-awaited New York Comic Con 2023 took off with a blast, introducing new and exciting announcements that we've made sure you won't miss out on.

First on the list, the Dragon Ball universe grows bigger with the announcement of a new series, "Dragon Ball: Daima". Set to debut in Fall 2024, fans were treated to a teaser revealing a younger-looking Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and several others. The original creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama, will bring this fresh story to life.

From the world of "The Walking Dead", we heard about two major updates. "The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live", a spin-off with Andrew Lincoln's Rick and Danai Gurira's Michonne, will emerge in February 2024. The series dropped a teaser trailer and announced new cast members.

Returning to the "The Walking Dead" universe is Melissa McBride, who will once again play Carol in Season 2 of "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon". The revised series, now dubbed "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol", is expected to premiere in 2024.

For all the sci-fi devotees out there, Apple TV+'s "For All Mankind" will return for a fourth season on November 10, 2023, and NYCC shared a trailer to whet your appetite.

In comic book news, Oni Press is ready to keep readers hooked throughout 2024 with five new books. And DC fans, brace yourselves; DC is rebooting its popular Elseworlds imprint with six new titles!

For the gamers, the sixth edition of the "Earth Defense Force" is set to roll out in Spring 2024 for PS5 and PC.

And lastly, but certainly not least, the Strangers trilogy is set to expand. The first film in the trilogy, "The Strangers: Chapter 1", has already been filmed, and if everything goes as planned, all three movies are to be released in 2024.
