The Pokémon Company has announced that the English-language version of Pokémon Horizons will arrive in the UK in December 2023. This new series is set in the Scarlet and Violet's Paldea Region and signifies a post-Ash Ketchum era in Pokémon storytelling. While a specific release date for the U.S. hasn't been shared, it is suggested that it will likely be around the same time as the UK premiere.

Pokémon Horizons will be available on BBC iPlayer and the linear TV channel CBBC. The series will feature new protagonists, Liko and Roy, along with their partner Pokémon. Captain Pikachu, distinct from the character's previous incarnations, will also be introduced as part of the cast. Enthusiasm for Pokémon Horizons has been building among fans, particularly following the reception of its Japanese opening theme, although it remains to be seen if there will be changes to the theme for the western audience.

The announcement marks a fresh chapter for the Pokémon franchise as it continues to expand its universe and characters, promising viewers a unique Pokémon adventure with the new series set to launch in December.
