Bandai Namco has released a new video highlighting the enemies and vehicles in the upcoming game, Sand Land. The game, based on the manga series of the same name by Dragon Ball and Dragon Quest creator Akira Toriyama, is being developed by ILCA. This studio has previously worked on games like Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, and One Piece Odyssey.
In Sand Land, players play as devil-prince Beelzebub, sheriff Rao, and the demon Thief, embarking on a quest to find a hidden water source in the middle of the desert. The game features a real-time battle system and explorable areas. Players will have a range of vehicles at their disposal to traverse the game world and a variety of weapons and tools to tackle the challenges in the desert.
The original manga series which inspired the game, Sand Land, is a short series that appeared weekly in the Japanese magazine Shonen Jump in 2000. The narrative revolves around a desert world where humans and demons struggle with an extreme water shortage.
Sand Land, the game, will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The release date is still to be announced. The author Michel Musters has been a part of the Gamer.nl editorial team since 2007, focusing mainly on news provision. He's particularly fond of The Legend of Zelda and Hollow Knight.
