The new features include a basketball mode with motion-controls, 2v2 local and online matches, a Three-Point Challenge, and competitive modes like the Five-Streak Battle and Three-Point Contest.

Besides the Nintendo Switch Sports update, the Nintendo Direct also announced The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Mario & Luigi: Brothership, and the release date for the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.
