Batman and Geiger Team Up for Exclusive Variant Covers
May 15, 2025 1:00 PMDC Comics and Image Comics are collaborating for a unique crossover involving their beloved characters Batman and Geiger. This marks the first artistic exchange between the DC Universe and Ghost Machine's Unnamed Universe, featuring variant covers created by talented artists Gary Frank and Jim Lee. Gary Frank will illustrate a cover for Batman #163, which concludes the Hush 2 storyline, while Jim Lee designs a cover for Geiger #19. This collaboration not only celebrates the friendship between the artists but also highlights the bond within the comics community. Both covers complement each other in design, promising a visually appealing display for fans. Batman #163 is set for release in August 2025, followed by Geiger #19 in October 2025.
Will Batman ever cross over into the Unnamed Universe? While this collaboration is limited to artistic covers, there is currently no indication of a direct narrative crossover between Batman and characters from the Unnamed Universe. The focus remains on the exciting variant artworks celebrating the unique talents of both comics' artists.
The Batman character, created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger in 1939, has become an icon in both comic books and popular culture, known for his complex storylines and diverse rogues gallery. Geiger, introduced by Image Comics in 2021, showcases a unique post-apocalyptic narrative that has gained a dedicated following and demonstrates the innovative storytelling present in modern comics.
