Bandai Namco has announced that the Pac-Man battle royale game, Pac-Man: Mega Tunnel Battle Chomp Champs, will be launching on consoles and PCs early next year. This game was previously released on Apple Arcade during 2021, but it is scheduled to be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam by the beginning of 2024.
The game features 64 players competing against each other with a goal of eating as much as possible, including fruits and other players, across different mazes that switch throughout the game. The new console and PC version of the game is expected to have enhanced graphics, more customization options, and new game modes and music. Moreover, it will also include cross-play support.
Previously, Nintendo Switch Online removed Pac-Man 99. Now, only users who have purchased the game's paid downloadable content (DLC) for offline modes, can continue playing the game.
