Hideki Kamiya, creator of the Bayonetta series, has recently expressed regret about leaving many of his ideas for the franchise unexplored following his departure from PlatinumGames. Kamiya, who played a pivotal role in Bayonetta 1, 2, 3, and Origins, had envisioned a total of nine episodes in the action-packed saga, but since the rights belong to PlatinumGames, he fears these concepts may never come to fruition.

Despite his departure, Kamiya anticipates that PlatinumGames will likely continue the Bayonetta series, though no official announcements for new entries have been made. Kamiya's career began at Capcom, where he directed several hit titles, including Devil May Cry and Resident Evil 2. After co-founding PlatinumGames in 2006, he directed the original Bayonetta and The Wonderful 101, later overseeing the Bayonetta series and ascending to the role of vice president.

Currently, the status of Kamiya's latest project, the superhero game Project GG, remains uncertain after his exit, and his future endeavors are undisclosed. The Bayonetta series has become a cornerstone for action gaming on the Nintendo Switch, leaving fans curious about what's next for both Kamiya and the franchise.
