Big Modern Warfare 3 ad shown when Xbox starts up

Several American Xbox owners have reported receiving a full-screen advertisement for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 during startup. The ad, specific to the Early Access period for the campaign that started yesterday, can be dismissed with a single button press and does not reappear. Microsoft had previously placed a similar ad on Xbox around the release of Starfield. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is published by Activision Blizzard, which recently became part of Microsoft. The popular game series will remain playable on all platforms for at least a decade. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 officially releases on November 10th for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as PC.
