The director of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film 'Blade', Yann Demange, confirmed that it will be the second R-rated film in the MCU after 'Deadpool 3'.
Demange revealed in an interview the film's R-rating is "so important", proposing to depict the ruthlessness of the film's protagonist, Blade.
However, the film has experienced a series of setbacks, from repetitively changing writers to delays and a budget reportedly under $100 million. Despite these challenges, fans warmly received the initial announcement of 'Blade' at San Diego Comic-Con 2019.
The film was originally scheduled for release in November 2023, but due to a writer's strike, its release has been postponed. While waiting, MCU fans can anticipate the release of 'The Marvels' on November 20.
