Blizzard has announced the next three expansions for the popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft, at the 2023 BlizzCon event. These expansions, forming a larger narrative called World of Warcraft: The Worldsoul Saga, kick off with World of Warcraft: The War Within, scheduled for release next year.
The War Within will feature subterranean kingdoms along with returning characters and new zones such as Azj-kahet, Isle of Dorn, The Ringing Deeps, and Hallowfall. A new treasure hunting activity called Delves and a feature called War Bands that unifies accounts were also presented.
The following two expansions in the series are: World of Warcraft: Midnight, where players will have to defend Quel'thalas from invading Void forces; and World of Warcraft: The Last Titan, which takes place in Northrend, revealing a huge conspiracy concerning the Titans.
The narrative will also address the fact that Sargeras' mighty sword, a significant element from the Legion expansion, will finally be addressed. In addition, updates on the current expansion, Dragonflight, were released which has received positive feedback from the community, particularly on its dragonriding mount system.
