Moon Studios, renowned for the Ori series, has just revealed "No Rest for the Wicked" at The Game Awards, marking their entry into the isometric ARPG genre reminiscent of Diablo. Set in the kingdom of Isola Sacra during a time of plague and power struggles, the game features a stunning, painterly aesthetic with intricate verticality and a world ripe with secrets and beasts. In a departure from their previous work, the game focuses on intense, skill-based action combat.
"No Rest for the Wicked" also introduces co-op gameplay, where up to four players can tackle challenges together or opt for solo exploration. The game is slated for early access on PC in Q1 of 2024, followed by full releases on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. More information is expected from the "Wicked Inside" digital showcase on March 1, which will air on YouTube and Twitch.
The game is being published by Private Division and fans are eager to see how Moon Studios will translate their signature atmospheric storytelling into this new genre.
