Great news for The Walking Dead fans! Carol, portrayed by Melissa McBride, will be returning officially in the second season of "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon", which was announced at the New York Comic-Con. The next season will even be rebranded to "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol", set to be released in 2024. Melissa expressed her excitement about continuing Carol's story, hinting at a deeper exploration of her character. The spin-off series originally designed to spotlight Carol and Daryl (Norman Reedus) had to shift its focus solely on Daryl due to McBride's inability to move to Europe for filming. The storyline follows Daryl's life in France as he tries to find his way back home, though the circumstances of Carol's return, or if she'll be joining Daryl in France, have yet to be disclosed. The end of the first season, rated 7/10 in our review for being the best thing the franchise has done in years, will be broadcasted this Sunday on AMC and AMC+. "Daryl Dixon" was renewed for a second season even before the premiere of season 1, becoming one of the three spin-offs of The Walking Dead currently under development at AMC. Another Walking Dead spinoff, "The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live", also released some updates lately.
