Activision, the well-known gaming company, has announced the launch times of their much-awaited Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta worldwide for both PC and consoles. The official game will be out on November 10, 2023, and can be accessed through platforms like Battle.net, Steam, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X and S.

However, before the official launch, a beta version, primarily focusing on the multiplayer part of the game, is scheduled to be released from October 6. Thanks to the staggered drop of this beta, early access will be granted to those who pre-order on PlayStation. Eventually, it will be available to all gaming enthusiasts.

Here is the timeline of the beta version release:

  • Early Access on PlayStation for pre-orders: from October 6 to October 8
  • Available to all PlayStation players: from October 8 to October 10
  • Early Access on PC / Xbox for pre-orders and open to PlayStation players: from October 12 to October 14
  • Open to all players: from October 14 to October 16

The beta will include four maps - Rust, Favela, Estate, and Skidrow - during the initial weekend, with Highrise being added from October 12. However, progress from the beta will not be available in the final version.

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 game will offer a glimpse of the 16 multiplayer maps planned for the final release. Some classic elements like map voting, the classic minimap, and slide cancelling are on the return.

Activision also gave game enthusiasts a thorough view of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer. This featured a return to some beloved maps and mechanics, all sparking strong nostalgia.

Finally, more information about the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and battle royale Warzone 2.0 will be shared at the COD Next event, starting on October 5. The event, however, will not showcase the DMZ mode.
