Aug 30, 2024 9:30 AM

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has confirmed key details about its console performance specs, multiplayer features, and gameplay modes. Players will choose between Quality Mode delivering 4K at 30fps or Performance Mode targeting up to 60fps at 1080p on PS5 and Xbox Series X. For the Xbox Series S, only a 1440p at 30fps Quality Mode is available. The game promises full crossplay across platforms and allows co-op campaign play, PvE, and PvP modes. Cross-platform saves are supported through Prism Ray Online Services. While no mod support is planned at launch, additional features like Steam Deck compatibility are expected post-launch. Releasing on September 9, 2024, there's no requirement to play the original to enjoy this sequel.

What are the multiplayer features in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2?

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 includes both PvE and PvP modes. The PvE mode allows co-op play with unique class restrictions, while the PvP mode offers crossplay but separates players by platform for balance. There are limits on class selections to ensure diverse team compositions and no friendly fire in any mode.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a sequel to the original game released in 2011. This highly anticipated action game continues the story of Captain Titus and features intense third-person shooter mechanics set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, a popular franchise known for its rich lore and strategic gameplay. With stunning graphics and an engaging storyline, fans are eager to dive back into this brutal sci-fi world.
