The renowned game development company, CD Projekt Red, has included a tribute to the late racing legend, Ken Block, in the Update 2.0 of the game Cyberpunk 2077.

This tribute comes as a new car that players can find in Night City, dubbed the Type-66 Hoon. It is accessible via the 'I'm in Love With My Car' quest. The vehicle is a nod to Block's auto media and apparel firm, Hoonigan Industries, and is the only weaponized vehicle provided for free in the game.

Ken Block, who was featured in multiple premier franchises such as Need for Speed, Dirt, and Forza, passed away in a snowmobile accident at the age of 55 in January 2023. Block's car in the game is fast, solid off-road, and comes fitted with two machine guns. A full breakdown on how to access and complete the quest to unlock this car can be found on IGN's Cyberpunk 2077 guide.

Update 2.0 rejuvenates Cyberpunk 2077 with new features like an improved AI and new perk system. Its release has caused a surge in the game's popularity on Steam. This update comes right before the release of its first and only expansion, Phantom Liberty, which launched on September 26.

The 2.0 update, along with Phantom Liberty and the anime spin-off Edgerunners, completed a big turnaround for Cyberpunk 2077, a game that started as a future RPG.
