In a recent scoop involving Rick and Morty, there could be a movie adaptation in talks. Co-creator Dan Harmon shared a discussion he had with Zack Snyder, famous for his work on Justice League, about the potential of bringing the Adult Swim series to the big screen. Snyder, as told by Harmon during a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, approached Harmon as a Rick and Morty super fan, offering to leverage his influence to kickstart the movie. He didn't intend to direct the film himself, instead, was eager to facilitate the movie's creation. Harmon was light-hearted about the prospect, imagining a six-hour Rick and Morty film where half is shot in monochrome, reflecting Snyder's signature style. On a serious note, Harmon did indicate a meeting with Warner Bros. executives where there was a sense that a full-length Rick and Morty feature might be in the offing. His notion was to present a "super badass episode" stretched over 90 minutes, essentially continuing the series on the big canvas without making significant departures from the plot continuity of the TV series. Harmon's ideal scenario is developing this movie simultaneously with the ongoing series. He doesn't want the film to rely heavily on changing the show's narrative or being a canonical gateway for the series. In other news, Rick and Morty creators have hired new voices for the lead characters, following charges (that were dropped) against creator Justin Roiland. The identities of these new voices will be unveiled following the season premiere. Fans can eagerly wait for the seventh season of Rick and Morty, debuting on October 15.
