Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Adds Long-Awaited Mid-Game Save

Aug 21, 2024 2:00 PM

The highly anticipated Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is set to introduce significant quality-of-life improvements, particularly in the challenging Infinity Mode. Players can now save mid-game, allowing for a more flexible gaming experience. This update aims to attract a broader audience by reducing the frustrations previously associated with Infinity Mode, where players fought against time and dwindling resources. Capcom has also added the ability to fast-forward time and introduced zombie item drops at a low rate. These enhancements make the remastered version more appealing to both veterans and newcomers, promising a fresh take on the classic survival horror gameplay. The game will be available digitally on September 19, with a physical release on November 8.

What improvements have been made to Infinity Mode in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster?

Infinity Mode now allows players to save their progress mid-game, fast-forward time, and zombies will drop items at a low rate, making the experience more enjoyable and accessible.

Dead Rising, originally released in 2006, became renowned for its unique blend of open-world gameplay, zombie survival mechanics, and time-based challenges. Players control Frank West, a photojournalist trapped in a mall infested with zombies, and they must navigate the environment to gather resources, rescue survivors, and ultimately escape. The remaster aims to preserve the original's charm while making it more manageable and enjoyable for modern gamers.
