Diablo 4's Berserk Event: A Pricey Skin Sales Tactic Revealed

Apr 23, 2025 1:41 PM

Blizzard has announced the details of the first-ever cross-over event for Diablo IV, featuring the iconic Japanese anime and manga series, Berserk. Scheduled from May 6 to June 3, the collaboration provides players with a chance to earn unique Berserk-themed cosmetics but lacks much of the anticipated gameplay content. While players can collect event-specific armor and accessories, the main focus appears to be on purchasing cosmetic items in the in-game shop. Players can engage in elite enemy battles for a chance to obtain Behelits to exchange for limited-time items. Season 8: Belial’s Return, introducing new quests and a battle pass system, also kicks off alongside this event.

What unique items can players earn during the Diablo IV x Berserk event?

During the Diablo IV x Berserk event, players can earn unique cosmetics such as the Hawks Destiny Back Trophy, Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor, Brand of Sacrifice Marking, and Foretold Eclipse Headstone. Completing the collection rewards players with the Od of the Berserker Emblem as a bonus.

Diablo IV is an action RPG that continues the legacy of Blizzard's popular Diablo franchise, known for its dark fantasy setting and addictive hack-and-slash gameplay. Launched in June 2023, the game emphasizes both multiplayer and single-player modes and has garnered a dedicated player base due to its engaging lore and frequent updates. The collaboration with Berserk illustrates Blizzard's strategy of integrating iconic IPs to keep the game fresh and appealing to fans of both franchises.

Nice to see Blizzard tapping into Berserk’s dark fantasy aesthetic—it’s a perfect match for Diablo’s vibe, even if the event feels more like a merch drop than a full-blown crossover. That Brand of Sacrifice Marking is gonna look sick on my Necro, though.

Love the Berserk crossover vibes, but it’s a bummer the event leans so heavily into shop cosmetics instead of deeper gameplay integration. At least the Behelit grind gives us something to chase beyond just opening our wallets Skull Knight’s Mount Armor is *chef’s kiss*, but I can’t help wishing we got a Guts-inspired dungeon or boss fight to really seal the deal. Still, the aesthetic alone might be worth the grind for diehard Berserk fans.
