Diablo Board Game To Launch, Revealed at BlizzCon 2023

Blizzard Entertainment, Glass Cannon Unplugged, and Genuine Entertainment have joined forces to make a tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) adaptation of Diablo, the well-known video game franchise. Announced at BlizzCon 2023, the game is planned for a core book launch in the fall of 2024 via a Kickstarter pre-order campaign. Glass Cannon's CEO, Jakub Wiśniewski, expressed pride and excitement about the project, expressing gratitude for the high level of access and support they've had from Blizzard.

The new TTRPG is inspired by Diablo's popular 2023 video game edition, Diablo 4, and will further expand on the game's overworld and underworld. The TTRPG will act as a direct companion piece to the upcoming Diablo: The Board Game, set to release in fall 2025. Both games are projected to fuel one another with interchangeable components, shared accessories and complementary expansions. Diablo 4 proved a successful venture for Blizzard, becoming its fastest-selling game of all time, so recreating its world as a TTRPG seems a fitting choice.
