The Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials now have their premiere dates and a new trailer. The specials will feature the return of David Tennant's Doctor and Catherine Tate's Donna Temple-Noble. The first of which, "The Star Beast," debuts on November 25, followed by "Wild Blue Yonder" on December 2 and "The Giggle" on December 9.
The specials will be available globally on Disney+, with the exception for the U.K. and Ireland, where they will air on BBC. First announced in 2022, the specials mark the reunion of Tennant's Doctor and Donna after the former had to erase her memory to save her life.
The trailers give quick insights into how the series might tackle Donna's memory loss, including a flashback scene of the event. The episodes will also feature The Toymaker, a Doctor Who villain played by Neil Patrick Harris. Tennant, who played the 10th Doctor from 2005 to 2010, will now reprise his role for these specials before paving the way for the new 15th Doctor, Ncuti Gatwa. Tate, who played Donna in series 4 and several other specials from 2006 to 2010, also returns.
