DOOM and DOOM 2 are set to receive a new definitive compilation featuring enhanced versions of both classic games. This exciting announcement comes ahead of QuakeCon 2024, showcasing significant upgrades including improved graphics, online cross-platform deathmatch, and 16-player co-op support. Utilizing the KEX Engine, known for revitalizing other classic titles, this compilation will also introduce a new Deathmatch map pack of 25 maps and a brand-new episode titled Legacy of Rust, developed in collaboration with id Software, Nightdive Studios, and MachineGames. While a release date has not yet been confirmed, it is anticipated to launch during the convention.
