DRAGON AGE: THE VEILGUARD REMOVES ALL 3RD-PARTY DRM

Oct 15, 2024 3:58 PM

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is set to release on October 31, 2024, without any third-party digital rights management (DRM), including Denuvo. Bioware's decision is welcomed by PC gamers, although it means there will be no preload option for this platform. Instead, players will be able to download and play the game directly on launch day. Preloads will be available for console players, with Xbox Series X and S already featuring preload options, and PlayStation 5 beginning its preload on October 29. This decision aligns with Bioware's effort to appeal to the PC community, as the game will also be "Steam native," avoiding the need for the EA App. Additionally, it's worth noting that this installment is the first in the series to exclude spiders from its gameplay.

Will Dragon Age: The Veilguard have DRM?

No, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will not have any third-party DRM, which means players can download and play it without additional restrictions, although PC players won't have a preload period.

Dragon Age is a critically acclaimed fantasy role-playing game series developed by BioWare, renowned for its rich storytelling and complex characters. Each installment allows players to navigate moral choices and form relationships with various characters, creating a personalized gameplay experience. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is anticipated as a major entry in the franchise, promising new mechanics and a captivating world for players to explore.
