Despite the lack of updates, Dragon Quest 12, announced during the 35th anniversary of the series, still aims to be a mainline entry following 2017's Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age. Additionally, the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake is confirmed to be a multiplatform title nearing its release, bringing the classic RPG to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
