Capcom has released an extended gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated Dragon’s Dogma 2 during the TGS 2023 event. The trailer affords gamers a deeper look into the sequel to one of the most popular action RPGs, although a release date remains elusive.
The gameplay trailer showcases the four main vocations (classes) available at the start of the game, including fighter, archer, mage, and thief, familiar to those who played the original Dragon’s Dogma. A glimpse into the roles of AI companions, known as pawns, is also provided, highlighting the benefits of diversifying party vocations in combat.
The expansive open world of the game spans two principal kingdoms: Vermund and Battahl, offering diverse terrain and unique environments. The game also reintroduces the day-night cycle, making nights harsher and darker. Players can set up campfires with the appropriate tools to restore health rather than traverse the treacherous night.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is currently in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Future updates are keenly awaited by the gaming community, especially regarding a potential release date.
