EA Sports has unveiled the cover image for the Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC24, FIFA's successor. But unlike the previous versions, which typically had one or two players on the cover, this time around, there's a whole array of old and new stars.

However, not all fans are excited about the new cover art. Created using the game engine, some of the results are less than impressive. For instance, noted players like Andrea Pirlo and Marcus Rashford appear with somewhat unnatural facial expressions.

Furthermore, grand stars like Messi, Ronaldo, and Mbappé are completely missing from the cover, which could either mean they might appear on the Standard Edition cover or there could be licensing issues with some players.

Parodies are already popping up on Twitter, comparing the rendering to old video games. EA Sports has not yet responded to these. There will be more about the game revealed in an EA Sports FC24 livestream scheduled for July 13.
