An error on Steam led to the accidental early release of Persona 5 Tactica, which was briefly playable a week before its scheduled launch. Some gamers reportedly managed to download and play the opening section of the game after an alert was sent out to those who had the game wishlisted. However, this window lasted for about 20 minutes before the developer, Atlus, and the publisher, Sega, revoked access. The Steam page for the game then displayed incorrect release dates before reverting to the official release date of November 17.

This isn't the first time a release issue has occurred with Atlus this year; both Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica were accidentally leaked on the developer’s Instagram account just days before the official announcement. Persona 5 Tactica will feature a new story with grid-based combat and a chibi aesthetic, following the Phantom Thieves as they battle against tyrannical rulers in a strange new reality. The game is expected to be available on various platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
