Magic: The Gathering, a popular card game, is set to release two new additions to its lineup that draw inspiration from the iconic British show, Doctor Who. This exciting new twist is aimed to help celebrate the show's upcoming 60th-anniversary in November. We've already seen a sneak peek of 14 Doctor Who inspired cards, including fan favorites like "Blink" and "Don't Blink", based on the spooky Weeping Angels from the show.

The latest two previews are of cards named "The Flood of Mars" and "Sontaran General". "The Flood of Mars" is inspired by a gripping episode, "Waters of Mars", where the tenth version of the Doctor, played by David Tennant, combats a frightening water-based infection that transforms humans into terrifying creatures. On the other hand, the "Sontaran General" card draws its design from the famous potato-headed aliens who have been a part of Doctor Who lore since its early days.

For those excited gamers, the pre-order is already live on Amazon, with shipment starting from October 13. There's also a limited-edition collection named The Complete New Who, available for pre-order which includes every single episode from Doctor Who's modern era in a Blu-ray format.

Meanwhile, Doctor Who fans can look forward to the show returning in November, featuring David Tennant and Catherine Tate. It's promised to be a celebration of the show's 60th anniversary with exciting specials. So, whether you are a card game enthusiast or a Doctor Who fan, it seems like there are exciting times ahead!
