EA Sports has released a 10-minute gameplay video for their upcoming rally title, WRC. The video showcases the gameplay, with designer and rally driver Jon Armstrong driving several routes in different weather conditions. Among the cars featured in the clip are the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 Hybrid and the Ford Fiesta Rally3.

WRC is developed by Codemasters and powered by Unreal Engine. The game, described as the "purest form of motorsport", promises to challenge players as every course becomes a fight against time, the terrain, and oneself. Ross Gowing, senior creative director, stated that this is "the rally game we've always wanted to make."

The game includes seventeen former and current FIA World Rally Championship locations with over two hundred courses available. The Central Europe Rally will be added in a post-launch update. Players will also enjoy cross-platform online multiplayer supporting up to 32 players.

WRC is set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC (via the EA App, Steam, and Epic Games Store) on November 3rd. Those who pre-order the game will get early access on October 31st.

In 2020, EA and WRC signed a new licensing deal running from 2023 to 2027. This arrangement allowed Codemasters, now a part of EA, to take over development responsibility for the WRC games series.
