Jan 31, 2024 8:05 PM

February's update for PlayStation Plus subscribers brings a variety of games that cater to different tastes and playstyles. The highlight of the collection is "Foamstars," a new 4v4 online party shooter developed by Square Enix, designed exclusively for PS4 and PS5. Players will use foam to build and create in the arena for competitive play. "Rollerdrome," from Roll7, combines skating with gunplay as players aim to become the Champion in this retro-futuristic shooter which will be available on both PS4 and PS5. The third title is "Steelrising" for PS5, an action RPG by developers of "GreedFall." It immerses players in an alternate-history Paris with complex combat scenarios. Alongside these titles, PlayStation Plus members will also receive the "Icons Pack" for "Fall Guys," which includes various cosmetics related to popular PlayStation characters. These offerings will be accessible from February 6 to March 4, while players are reminded to download January's games before the new lineup hits.

What are the new PlayStation Plus games for February?

February's PlayStation Plus games are "Foamstars," "Rollerdrome," and "Steelrising" for PS4 and PS5 (Steelrising only on PS5), along with the "Icons Pack" for "Fall Guys" featuring unique PlayStation character cosmetics.

"Foamstars" joins the PlayStation Plus lineup as a unique and vibrant experience where players familiar with online shooters can indulge in a fresh twist with its innovative foam mechanics. "Rollerdrome" will appeal to those looking for an eclectic blend of skateboarding and shooting, and it comes from a well-regarded studio with a history of combining sports with other genres. As for "Steelrising," it offers a more traditional action RPG experience but with an interesting twist on historical narrative, setting players against a robotic army in a reimagined 18th-century Paris.

For fans of "Fall Guys," the addition of the Icons Pack is a delightful bonus, allowing them to showcase their love for other PlayStation franchises while partaking in the game's chaotic and colorful challenges. With such a diverse roster of free games this month, PlayStation Plus continues to provide valuable content for its subscribers.

Squaring up for some creative chaos with 'Foamstars'—Square Enix really knows how to keep the party shooter genre fresh. Meanwhile, 'Steelrising' and 'Rollerdrome' are adding some serious flair to the lineup, offering a neat mix of historic intrigue and adrenaline-pumping action for February's PlayStation Plus treasure trove.

Looks like PlayStation Plus is upping the fun factor this February with Foamstars, hitting that sweet spot for both creative builders and competitive shooters. And with Steelrising adding a touch of steampunk to historical Paris, RPG fans are in for some serious clockwork combat, while Rollerdrome is sure to blend high-flying tricks with high-caliber action in a way that only Roll7 knows how. 🛹🔫🎮

Foamstars seems like a playful addition to the PS Plus lineup, giving gamers a chance to engage in some creative combat with a quirky twist—and it's always cool to see a major player like Square Enix trying something new. Between that, the adrenaline rush of Rollerdrome, and the historical-but-not-so-historical thrills of Steelrising, it looks like February's got a solid mix for players to dive into, plus the Fall Guys pack is a sweet cherry on top for the social gamers out there.
