FINAL FANTASY 16 Update: 1.30 Patch Details & Rising Tide Expansion Date

Square Enix is set to release the much-anticipated DLC for Final Fantasy 16, titled 'The Rising Tide,' on April 18, 2024. This expansion will continue the epic adventure of protagonist Clive and his companions as they embark on a rescue mission for the Dominant of Leviathan. The DLC promises to bring new cinematic experiences to the title, alongside intense battles including one featuring Ifrit versus Leviathan. Final Fantasy 16 first launched on PS5 and now teases extensive new content with increased level caps and fresh abilities for Clive. Accompanying the DLC will be the free 1.30 update, offering quality-of-life improvements like a “Quick Complete” function, new skill set feature, adjustable abilities and accessories, and enhancements to Photo Mode. A PC version of Final Fantasy 16 is also hinted to be coming soon, as Square Enix is finalizing optimization efforts.
