First episode of Fallout TV series premieres on April 12, 2024

Oct 24, 2023 8:00 AM
The debut episode of the Fallout TV series is set to air on April 12, 2024, as disclosed in an official tweet. The series, which draws from the Fallout franchise, gave a glimpse of episode one, called "The End," in a brief video, subsequently announcing the air date. Taking place in Los Angeles, the series' forthcoming release was confirmed in August after a preliminary version of a trailer was leaked during backroom events at Gamescom.

Footage gives viewers a sneak peek into a western-like town, with Brotherhood of Steel soldiers marching and a woman emerging from a vault for the first time. Announced back in 2020, the Fallout-based TV show for Amazon Prime Video is a collaboration with Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan. Nolan, brother of film director Christopher Nolan, is even expected to direct at least one episode.

The show features a diverse cast, including Kyle MacLachlan from Twin Peaks, Aaron Moten of Next, Xelia Mendes-Jones from Havoc, and Walter Goggins of Justified. Captain Marvel writer Geneva Robertson-Dworet and The Officer's Graham Wagner add to the creative force as showrunners, with Todd Howard serving as the executive producer.
