Florida Joker wants voice role in GTA 6

Jan 24, 2024 10:13 AM

The individual known as the Florida Joker, Lawrence Sullivan, is once again seeking attention for his resemblance to the iconic Batman villain and demanding to voice a character in the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6. Sullivan has upped his demands by wanting to voice a character similar to himself with his own story arc, in addition to previously requesting 'a few million' dollars for what he claims his likeness has brought to the game's hype. Despite several "final warnings" and claiming that he would prefer to avoid a lawsuit, Rockstar Games has not responded to his videos.

Sullivan became an internet sensation in 2017 following his arrest, where his mugshot went viral due to his striking resemblance to The Joker. With Grand Theft Auto 6 set in a fictionalized version of Florida and teasing at Florida's notorious events and personalities, Sullivan believes he has positively contributed to the game's publicity. As yet, his repeated ultimatums for the game's developer, Rockstar Games, to grant his wishes have been unacknowledged.

Former Red Dead Redemption voice actor Roger Clark has advised against Sullivan's approach, suggesting that Sullivan use his newfound fame to his advantage rather than expecting a payout or a role in the game. Grand Theft Auto 6, still enshrouded in speculation and rumors, is slated to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2025.

Will Grand Theft Auto 6 feature the Florida Joker as a character?

No, there is no official confirmation that Grand Theft Auto 6 will feature the Florida Joker as a character, and Rockstar Games has not publicly addressed Lawrence Sullivan's demands.

As background, Grand Theft Auto, developed by Rockstar Games, is known for its vast, open-world gameplay and controversial themes. The series has garnered a massive following for its satirical take on American culture. The next installment, Grand Theft Auto 6, carries on this tradition and is set to reflect aspects of Florida's unique culture through its narrative and character design. Sullivan's self-proclaimed influence on the franchise and his demands highlight the intense community engagement and anticipation surrounding the game's release.

Haha, the Florida Joker's quest for a cameo in GTA 6 is just wild, but it's a classic case of life imitating art—or at least trying to. Rockstar's known for their tight-lipped approach to hype, so it's no surprise they're just letting Sullivan’s videos slide right off like water off a duck's back.
