Gravelord: A New Boomer Shooter Inspired by Quake and Duke Nukem

Aug 13, 2024 2:00 PM

Fatbot Games has officially announced Gravelord, a new boomer shooter inspired by classic titles like Quake and Duke Nukem. The game features chaotic first-person shooting combined with a unique tarot card mechanic that introduces layers of customizability and unpredictability to the gameplay. Players will embody Queedo the Gravedigger, who humorously delivers quips while wielding a variety of weapons, including a shovel. Offering fast-paced combat, hand-crafted retro levels filled with secrets, weapon upgrades, a narrative conveyed through hidden comic book pages, and a level editor, Gravelord is shaping up to be an exciting addition to the boomer shooter genre. Although there is no set release date, interested gamers can wishlist it on Steam.

What platforms will Gravelord be available on?

Gravelord is currently under development for PC, with no announcement regarding console releases at this time.

Gravelord taps into the nostalgia of the boomer shooter genre, which gained immense popularity in the 1990s with titles like Quake and Duke Nukem 3D. These games are characterized by their fast-paced gameplay, retro graphics, and a mix of action and comedy, making them a beloved choice among veteran gamers. Fatbot Games aims to revive this spirit while integrating modern elements to appeal to a new generation of players.
