Halo Composer enters US elections

Marty O'Donnell, a composer renowned for his contributions to the original Halo games' soundtracks and also known for working on the Destiny soundtrack, has announced his candidacy for the U.S. congressional elections. As a member of the Republican Party, O'Donnell will contest against Democrat Susie Lee for a seat in Nevada's third congressional district. His decision to join politics stems from a desire to address the polarization in America, stating a sense of duty to fulfill his citizenship responsibilities.

Marty O'Donnell is famous for being the co-composer of the soundtrack for the Halo video game series, working alongside Michael Salvatori. Their music played a significant part in the success and iconic status of the Halo franchise. O’Donnell's musical talent extended to Bungie's subsequent title Destiny, where he also contributed to the game's soundtrack.

Halo, a military science fiction first-person shooter video game franchise managed and developed by 343 Industries, a subsidiary of Xbox Game Studios, was originally created by Bungie. The series centers on an interstellar war between humanity and an alliance of aliens known as the Covenant.
