Naughty Dog's Head of Technology, Christian Gyrling, has recently left the company after contributing extensively since joining in 2006. Gyrling had a significant role in developing major titles like The Last of Us and Uncharted series and became vice president in 2020 before transitioning to Head of Technology in July. The studio has expressed gratitude for his work and wished him success in future endeavors. Travis McIntosh, a nineteen-year Naughty Dog veteran, takes over the position. This change in the technical leadership comes close to the news of co-president Evan Wells leaving later this year, with Neil Druckmann set to take on complete leadership. There have also been rumors of layoffs at the studio, which may be related to the development of The Last of Us multiplayer game.
