Helldivers 2 Dev Arrowhead Boss Promoted to Creative Chief

Helldivers 2 has set a record as the fastest-selling PlayStation game of all time, surpassing God of War Ragnarok, with 12 million copies sold within 12 weeks on PC and PlayStation 5. Amid this success, developer Arrowhead Game Studios has had a leadership change. Johan Pilestedt, the former CEO of Arrowhead, has transitioned to the Chief Creative Officer role to focus more on game development and community engagement. Shams Jorjani, previously an executive at Paradox Interactive, has been appointed as the new CEO. This shift follows a challenging period for Arrowhead, marked by disputes with Sony over PSN account requirements and ongoing community feedback about game balancing. Despite these hurdles, the company is committed to long-term support and development for Helldivers 2.
