High on Life, the popular game by Squanch Games, is set to release its first downloadable content (DLC), "High on Knife", introducing a horror theme in time for the Halloween season. The update is due to launch on October 3rd, available to players on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, as well as PlayStation 4 and 5.
The expansion, inspired by body horror, will feature a new claymation trailer and will introduce an array of fresh content including 52 new characters in addition to the current characters Knifey, Gene, as well as the three base game guns. High on Knife will also introduce two talking guns, Harper and B.A.L.L. and Oscar-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe lending her voice to a new villain, Mux.
The cost of the High on Knife DLC remains undisclosed, but it promises to bring an adequate amount of new content. High on Life has been a significant success since its launch in December last year, making it the most considerable release on Xbox Game Pass in 2022 and the biggest single-player launch ever on the platform.
While IGN has given High on Life an 8/10 review, praising it as "a laugh-out-loud funny space odyssey that’s chaotic, bizarre, and a ton of fun". Fans and users eagerly await the new DLC to continue their enjoyably chaotic space adventures.
