In recent gaming news, developers Team Cherry have updated the assets on the Steam page for the highly anticipated game: Hollow Knight: Silksong. This discovery was made by Twitter user Wario64, who pointed out that this is the first update to the game's Steam page since January 2023. Among the changes was an updated version of the thumbnail.
While this change doesn't necessarily indicate that any significant developments are imminent for the game, it does provide eager fans with some sign of life amidst a long period of waiting. Hollow Knight: Silksong was announced several years ago, but has been repeatedly delayed. Developers Team Cherry have previously informed the public this year that the intended release for the first half of the year wouldn't be achieved.
In Silksong, instead of the Hollow Knight, players will control the Hornet, a character from the original game. The Hornet has superior jumping abilities, an aspect incorporated into the game's level design. The game is set to be available on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch.
