Netflix's Viking-themed show, "Vikings: Valhalla", will conclude with its third season, as confirmed by the showrunner Jeb Stuart. Stuart says it was a natural conclusion for the journeys of the characters Leif, Freydis, and Harald.
A sneak peek of the third season has also been provided, with six new images from the forthcoming series available for viewing. Among these is a glimpse of Florian Munteanu taking on the role of George Maniakes, a powerful figure in the Byzantine Empire, and Goran Višnji? portraying Erik the Red, the famed Viking explorer.
Stuart expressed his gratitude for having had the opportunity to delve into the lives of these renowned Vikings over three seasons. Commenting on the conclusion, he mentioned that while there are always more layers to historical figures that could be explored, wrapping things up in the third season felt right story-wise.
With 24 episodes across three seasons, "Vikings: Valhalla" has aimed to give an epic insight into the lives of some remarkable historical Vikings. The final season will be released on Netflix in 2024.
